Version 2 of the Event Manual is now out! This document contains everything we have to tell you about #GetInCamp at this time - find it on our Downloads page 🙂

Leaders: we know that you are busy people, so here is everything you need to know in order to give your section the best Get In experience possible.

First, a quick note: #GetInCamp is using the surrounding land of a live army barracks for this event. This means that we will need to be very strict with when we have the main gates open and shut - please make sure your vehicles are off site by the times specified on this page. But if you really do get stuck, we'll still have a phone number posted on the external gates for emergencies.

Set Up
Groups can begin to set their campsite up on Thursday 17th, between 1pm and 10:30pm. Leader camping is available on Thursday night, but this is strictly for over 18's only. There will be limited facilities available - this means you may have to walk across the site to find a toilet - but we will try to confirm what these are as soon as possible. Keep an eye out in our newsletters for more information about set up and camping.

Campsite setup can continue on Friday 18th between 8am and 5pm. At 5pm, the site will be closed to all vehicles excluding site vehicles and contractors. Any other vehicles still on site at this time will have to remain stationary until young people are off site on Sunday, approximately 5pm.

Transport of People
In order to reduce the amount of traffic we have on site for arrivals and departures, we're encouraging everyone to take the most mode effective mode of transport available - coaches and minibuses! This will mean we get a fraction of the vehicles travelling to and from site, resulting in a quicker experience for everyone.

Transport of Kit in Trailers or Vans
Included in each group's pitch allocation will be the space for either a trailer or van. It's up to you how this space is used, but please note that vans will need to be on your pitch before the vehicle freeze at Friday 5pm. You'll be able to access the camping space with vehicles again after participants are clear at approximately 5pm on Sunday.

Trailers can be taken to your pitch using personal vehicles outside of the vehicle freeze times. If you wish to have your trailer moved on or off site within the freeze time, you will be able to 'book' a site vehicle from Camp Control to tow the trailer for you. Trailers will be picked up and dropped off between your pitch and the Trailer Drop point, which is situated along the tree line in the Leader's Car Park.

Arriving on site
A traffic plan will be released closer to the event to explain how everyone will need to get on site.

No matter how you arrive on site, everyone will walk through one of the two Event Entrances where we will make sure that each person has the correct wrist band. Please make sure you have these with you by this point!
