Competition

Preface

The #GetInCamp social media competition will be run for two weeks in April 2018 to help raise awareness of the event’s social media channels before the main camp in May 2018.

 

Eligibility

No purchase is necessary to enter this competition. People can enter across all channels. Winners will be asked to select a participant (and by extension, their group) that will receive the prize. Everyone can enter this competition, except for:

  • The #GetInCamp Gold team
  • The #GetInCamp Marketing team

 

Competition Timings

  1. The competition begins when respective posts beginning “** Competition Time!**” are created on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – this will be on the 9th April 2018 at around 6pm.
  2. The competition closes on 22nd April 2018 at 8pm. A follow up comment/tweet/post will be made to confirm this. Further entries after this time will not be counted.

 

How To Enter – Facebook

  1. Find the competition post which will be made at 6pm on the 9th April 2018 – this will be on the Get In page (www.facebook.com/getincamp)
  2. Click ‘Like’ on the post, and ensure you have ‘Liked’ the Get In page from which it originated.

Sharing the competition post does not count as an entry to the competition, however people may want to share the post to increase awareness of the competition.

 

How To Enter – Twitter

  1. Find the competition tweet once it has been posted at 6pm on the 9th April 2018 – this will be on the Get In page (www.twitter.com/getincamp)
  2. Click ‘ReTweet’ on the competition tweet. Normal ReTweets and quoted retweets will both count as entries.
  3. Once you have retweeted the competition tweet, make sure you follow the Get In account from which it originated.
  4. Retweeting the competition tweet more than once will not increase your quantity of entries in this competition.

Anyone found to be using multiple accounts to enter the competition will become ineligible. An exception to this is that people are permitted to enter using a personal & group twitter account.

 

How To Enter – Instagram

  1. Find the competition post which will be made at 6pm on the 9th April 2018 – this will be on the Get In page (www.instagram.com/getincamp)
  2. Click ‘Like’ on the competition post.
  3. Once you have shared the post, make sure you follow the Get In page from which it originated.

 

Selecting The Winners

  1. At 8pm on the 22nd April 2018, the number of Likes on Facebook, Retweets on Twitter and Likes on Instagram will be counted and recorded.
  2. A random number generator will be used to randomly select a number between 1 and the number of shares/retweets/likes for each social media channel.
  3. The marketing team will then count down the list of names of people who liked/retweeted/liked the relevant post for the respective social media channel. The person with that number entry will be the winner. The the ranking of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be decided by rolling a dice.
    1. The Facebook winner will have sides 1 and 2 assigned to them.
    2. The Twitter winner will have sides 3 and 4 assigned to them.
    3. The Instagram winner will have sides 5 and 6 assigned to them.
    4. The person chosen on the first role will win the first prize. The others will win the identical second and third prizes.
  4. Winners will be contacted using the private message function of the social media website they entered on (Facebook Messenger, Twitter Direct Message and Instagram Direct Message). If no response is received within 48 hours that person will lose their prizes and a redraw will occur from within the same social media channel to reassign the prizes.

 

 

Prizes

  1. First prize is one branded drawstring bag and one branded mug for the person who entered, and one portaloo toilet for their group’s camping pitch.
    1. If the individual is not affiliated with a group, they can nominate one to receive the portaloo prize.
    2. The group’s booking contact will get to choose whether to either have an additional portaloo or to have the value of their current portaloo refunded to the group.
    3. The drawstring bag and mug cannot be exchanged.
    4. The drawstring bag and mug will be available for collection from Camp Control during the event.
  2. Second prize is one branded drawstring bag and one branded mug..

    2. These will be available for collection from Camp Control during the event.
  3. Third prize is one branded drawstring bag and one branded mug.
    1. The drawstring bag and mug cannot be exchanged.
    2. These will be available for collection from Camp Control during the event.

 

General

  1. Any questions should be sent to ask@getincamp.co.uk before the closing date and time. Questions asked after this time may still be answered, but cannot have any effect on competition entries as the competition will be closed.
  2. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  5. The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  6. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other Social Network.
  7. By entering you agree to that Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are independent from Warwickshire Scouts, Get In and this competition.

  11. The organisers of this competition reserve the right to cancel the competition at any time. In exceptional circumstances, this may include not awarding prizes.
